Connect your Medicare account once. Your prescriptions come in on their own, from any pharmacy, and new ones keep appearing without you doing anything.
What Medicare shares with us
- Your prescriptions — the medicine, the date it was filled, and the days' supply
- Your plan coverage — so we know which pharmacy claims are yours
What it never shares
- Your Medicare password — you type that on Medicare's own website, never on ours
- Your bank or payment information
- Anything at all with an insurance agent
What will not arrive on its own
Medicare only knows about prescriptions your drug plan paid for. These never come through, however long you wait, so add them yourself:
- Anything you paid cash for, including $4 generics and discount-card prices
- Samples from a doctor's office
- Over-the-counter medicines and vitamins
- Prescriptions filled through the VA or TRICARE
- Anything given to you in hospital
A list is only worth having if it is the whole list. Typing one in takes a moment and it goes on right away.
What happens when you tap the button
- You land on Medicare's own website and sign in there.
- Medicare asks whether you want to share your prescriptions with KnownMeds. You say yes or no.
- You come back here and your list is filled in. That's it.
You can disconnect any time, in one tap, and we remove everything that came from Medicare.
Medicare records run a week or two behind real life. Anything filled in the last few days may not be there yet — you can type it in and it goes on the list right away.
